Afghan Hand Made Hall Way Runner 60x291cm

This beautiful Afghan Runner was Handknotted by Desert Nomads in the Northern region of Afghanistan. It is a recent strong and fine weave and is in excellent brand new condition. This beautifully woven rug is a typical example of Tribal weaving. The wool is lovely and soft and the rug is quite a fine weave as seen on the close up shot.

The design, consisting of repeated Bohkara Guls in the field is literally hundreds of years old and is unique to the tribal group from which the rug is woven. The Guls represent the 'signatures' of the weavers or tribes that made the rug. 

Most suitable as a living or dining room rug, an extra strong and durable carpet. This rug with constant use will serve the owner well for many years. The colour and design is simple and easy to live with
